Part 1 of a great interview with Love creator Eskil Steenberg is up at Negative Gamer. If you're not familiar with Love, it's the one-man MMORPG with an amazing art style. Look for more to be coming soon.
We’re kicking off our GDC 2010 coverage with what likely is the most unusual lecture this year – a session entitled “Abusing Your Players Just For Fun” by John “Cactus” Soderstrom. This was one of my most anticipated panels this year as I really wanted to sit down and watch some hilarious examples of how to troll players in the future. As it turns out, it looks like the entire session should...
Our man Dan Rosenthal is at the Game Developers Conference and filed this report from a lecture he attended last night:
The Serious Games Summit at GDC closed out its first day with a sobering presentation from Allan McCullough and Parry Aftab entitled "Violence Prevention -- Playing A Video Game Can Make A Difference." Sponsored by the Child Safety Research and Innovation Center, the session explained...

If you are a developer and have a media request please email me ASAP - I'm just about completely booked for GDC and while I have more leeway at PAX, I'm also going to be doing some live podcasting that will need to be scheduled around. If you want to meet up for drinks, you can either email me or send a tweet to @SWATJester on twitter...
Gamepolitics interviewed me for my analysis of Activision's recent cease and desist demand against Phoenix Online Studios, who were making a fan-version of the discontinued King's Quest IX game. Here's a clip:
It's always unfortunate when you have a lot of hard work on a fan project go to waste. Unfortunately the real problem here for Phoenix Online was the bad luck of Sierra changing hands from...
I've got another guest article up at GamePolitics discussing Dead or Alive: Paradise producer Yoshinori Ueda's response to critics, in which he defends big-breasted virtual models as somehow honoring women.
